Police have arrested Bidisha Siddique, former wife of late president Hussain Muhammad Ershad.
She was apprehended in Gulshan around 8pm on Tuesday following an arrest warrant, said Gulshan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Daud Hossain.
The OC said a court had sentenced her to two years’ rigorous imprisonment and fined her Tk10,000 in a fraud case.
“As there was an arrest warrant against her in the case, she was apprehended,” he added.
