Bangladesh Cine-Journalist Association (BCJA) organized a unique cultural event titled “Poetry, Pitha and Song: Milone-Anonde Gunijan” at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy auditorium. The festival turned into a lively gathering of poets, lyricists, singers, and Bachsas members, celebrating creativity and cultural harmony.
The program began with a poetry session where renowned poets recited their popular works. Soon after, the atmosphere shifted to music as timeless songs written by eminent lyricists filled the hall.
Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Samity ( Bachsas ) honored distinguished poets including Hasan Hafiz, Atahar Khan, Shihab Sarkar, Mahmud Shafik, Abdul Hai Shikder, Shamima Chowdhury, Abdur Rahman, Hasnain Sazzadi, Dildar Hossain, Rezauddin Stalin, Shanta Maria, Dulal Khan, Said Ahmed, Selina Shiuli, and Dipankar Dipak. Lyricists receiving recognition were Sahabuddin Majumdar, Zahid Akbar, Mahmud Manzur, Robiul Islam Jibon, Rezaur Rahman Rizvi, Tarek Anondo, Omar Faruk, and Ashik Bandhu.
Musical performances were delivered by Moumita Tashrin Nodi, Joy Shahriar, Kamruzzaman Rabbi, Kazi Shuvo, Muhammad Milon, Raisa Khan, Abhi Talukdar, and Kaniz Suborna. Awards were handed over by members of the Bachsas executive committee.
Speaking about the initiative, Bachsas President Kamrul Hasan Darpon and General Secretary Rahat Saiful said the event was organized to promote healthy cultural practices, honor creative personalities, and strengthen mutual fellowship among artists and journalists.
